We Get Asked

How long does each session last? +
Sessions typically last 50–60 minutes. The first session may be slightly longer (60–90 min) as we gather background information and establish your treatment goals.
Is everything I share kept confidential? +
Absolutely. All sessions are strictly confidential. We only break confidentiality in rare circumstances where there is an immediate risk of harm to yourself or others, as required by law.
How many sessions will I need? +
This varies greatly by individual and their goals. Some people benefit from as few as 5–8 sessions, while others prefer ongoing support. We'll discuss a realistic timeline during your first appointment.
Do you accept insurance? +
We currently work with select insurance providers. Please contact us with your insurance details and we'll confirm coverage. We also offer a sliding-scale fee structure for those with financial constraints.
What is the difference between a psychologist and a counsellor? +
Psychologists hold doctoral-level degrees and can conduct psychological assessments. Counsellors typically hold master's degrees and focus on talk therapy. Both are highly trained mental health professionals. Our team includes both.
